Manhattan County Beach is a classic southern California beach with volleyball, surfers, and sunbathers. The South Bay Bicycle Trail runs through the beach and is a great place to jog. If you want to avoid bicyclists, try the pedestrian-only “Strand” just above the bike path. Ramps connect the Strand to the bike path every few blocks, although occasionally you may encounter a three-inch curb. Two beach wheelchairs are available at lifeguard headquarters near the Rosecrans Avenue parking lot.
